Reporting to the Head of Human Resources, the HR Advisor will work within the small HR team to provide general HR support to the business and assistance with strategic projects. A key focus of the role will be to support the Talent Manager to coordinate recruitment and induction of new starters. The HR Advisor will also provide general HR advice and guidance to managers and support day-to-day HR processes and reporting, with a friendly, flexible and positive approach.

Recruitment Responsibilities:

  • Support the business resourcing plan by discussing roles with managers, advertising roles, arranging interviews with candidates, and following up as appropriate.
  • Issue employment contracts and offer letters to new starters accurately and efficiently.
  • Carry out end to end recruitment for agency and contractor staff.
  • Assist with the preparation of recruitment reports with recommendations.
  • Use direct recruitment tools (Workable, Totaljobs search, LinkedIn) effectively.
  • Assist with new employee inductions to ensure staff continue to be impressed and excited with CAeS.


HR Responsibilities:

  • Offer guidance and support to line managers on employee relations, flexible working and attendance.
  • Ensure compliance with HR policies and standards and maintain appropriate records.
  • Help plan and support company team events and engagement initiatives.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of HR Systems, policies and practices.
  • Provide support to the HR Coordinator and finance team on payroll activities to ensure employees are paid on time and with accuracy every month.
  • Contribute to the delivery of HR strategic projects.

Requirements

  • Team player with experience of working within an HR department and/or recruitment team.
  • Ability to effectively coordinate recruitment and onboarding activities within a business.
  • Knowledge of basic employment law and HR best practice.
  • Experience with providing HR support and advice to employees and line managers.
  • Experience of or willingness to learn direct recruitment activities in an Aerospace Engineering environment.
  • Ideally has also worked in a Small, Medium Enterprise (SME) and is able to demonstrate the ability to 'roll their sleeves up’ and help get things done as part of a small, friendly, flexible team.
  • Ideally Level 3 CIPD although not essential
