Job Description

As a Commercial FPamp;A Analyst, you will be responsible for supporting the FPamp;A Business Partner with all elements of forecasting, budgeting, and monthly reporting. Key responsibilities include providing meaningful insights into business operations, performance and potential, assisting with sales price increases, client profitability reporting across the business, Pamp;L’s and modelling for tenders, reporting of supplementary data to support weekly and monthly management accounts and providing adhoc support to the FPamp;A team.


  • Assist with implementing, reviewing, and tracking sales price increases across the business. Manage current trackers which are operational with Contract Management team, Sales community, Leadership team and Group
  • Responsible for reporting and providing direction on vending machine product price increases and compliance. Managing the opportunity base, master price file, execution success, and price gain value tracker and reporting on this on a weekly/daily basis.
  • Preparing detailed financial analysis in relation to tenders, maintaining clients and highlighting low performing clients to ensure we make the correct decisions for the growth of the business
  • Commercial reporting across our clients to support achievement of Selecta’s long-term profitability goals. Emphasis on the different areas of the business and actively working with the stakeholders responsible to grow revenue across the business
  • Vital Signs weekly reporting enhancing our current reports which provide output on weekly sales, volumes, and product mix for our Micro Markets, Smart Fridges, Snack Markets, and Mars/J2G machines
  • Concepts profitability get a detailed overview on our concepts performance whilst actively looking for initiatives on growing revenue/profitability whilst also identifying problem areas which may no longer be commercially sustainable
  • Analysis on Products we currently sell highlighting our most and less popular items and actively working with the relevant stakeholders to explore different options to maximise our revenue
  • Report on machine sales activity working closely with sales leaders and ensuring margin and profitability from the sale is reviewed to ensure we are making viable decisions in the field
  • Review and identify opportunities to reduce client rebates
  • Gains and Losses reporting and tracking on a monthly basis to ensure we have an accurate view of week-on-week movements
  • Reporting on revenue streams with focus on break down by segments and categories
  • Wholesale profitability ensuring we have a full understanding on our sales and look for ways to increase our total margin as well as reduce low margin sales
  • Support the FPamp;A Business Partners to deliver monthly analysis as part of the business review pack, budget, regular reforecasts, and monthly landing estimates, including developing automated reporting and forecasting tools for more efficient use of data
  • Support the wider team on other finance processes and ad hoc analysis as required by the business

Requirements

Your core skills/attributes:

Knowledge

  • Strong financial analysis and financial modeling skills
  • Must be comfortable working with high volumes of transactional data and experience of transforming this in to meaningful analysis
  • Experience of month-end reporting, budgeting and forecasting

Experience

  • Minimum 2 years experience working within a driven and motivated finance function
  • PQE accountant
