The Technical Buyer will be working as part of the Supply team specifically on our main Project, Project Fresson. They will manage and control the purchase of goods, materials and services for individual projects, coordinating with the Project Managers, Aircraft Maintenance and Manufacturing teams.
Requirements
- Purchase goods, materials, components or services in accordance with specified technical, quality and delivery requirements
- Support Supply Chain Manager with Supplier Contract negotiations, improved prices and terms of business with suppliers and review opportunities to make business savings utilising negotiation and procurement best practice tools and methods.
- Prepare purchase orders in line with final negotiations with selected suppliers.
- Interface with other departments and Suppliers for all matters related to the procurement of Project materials, equipment and sub-contract services.
- Provide procurement support for new designs, and when necessary, participate in bid reviews and evaluations.
- support the Stores Controller in day to day running of the store. You will carry out updating of computer records with stock inventories, whilst monitoring consumable stock levels and preventing shortages. You will also be responsible for safety and security of the stock.
- accept deliveries and carry out Goods in Process, ensuring that all parts received conform to criteria laid out in process.
- Jointly responsible for the control and recording of Goods outwards, along with shipping of goods.
- Any other duties as needed or required by the business. Such other relevant duties may be assigned by the Manager in agreement with you. Such agreement should not be unreasonably withheld.
