Boldspace is looking for a Chief Brand Officer / Head of Brand Strategy to play a crucial, leading role within the agency, helping us make an objective, positive impact by building meaningful brands and creating bold communications.

THE ROLE

We are looking for a Head of Brand Strategy to lead our brand strategy practice and drive business growth. In this role, you will be responsible for leading the strategy team, setting the highest standards of training and development, refining and optimising our exciting, integrated agency model, and working on a diverse range of brands and client problems.

You will work closely with clients to understand their needs and develop customized brand strategies that meet their goals. Additionally, you will be responsible for originating and developing new business and building strong relationships with existing clients with a global footprint becoming their go-to for advisory and growth strategies.

You will be joining the business at a crucial stage as we move from ‘start-up’ to an established business with a global client base and 50 employees. It is essential that you thrive on autonomy, ownership and can independently push the boundaries strategically, creatively and commercially,, driving those around you to do the same.

The Head of Strategy will lead, oversee and be responsible for all strategic output for all clients across the agency, working closely with the Leadership Team. You will report directly to Co-CEO, Nick Ford-Young.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Lead the development and execution of Boldspace's brand strategy practice, proactively driving new ideas and initiatives to results.
  • Oversee a team of brand strategists, providing guidance, training, and support to build great brand teams and a close culture of togetherness.
  • Drive the agency forward commercially, delivering tangible, measurable results and contributing to business growth.
  • Build out the client roster by taking on new clients with enthusiasm, addressing issues, and helping teams grow accounts organically.
  • Champion and improve the Boldspace model, solving internal and external integration challenges and ensuring the highest standards of work across all teams.
  • Maintain the highest standards of work and hold team members accountable to those standards
  • Lead by example, demonstrating an entrepreneurial spirit and a passion for delivering outstanding results for clients

Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience in brand strategy, with a focus on developing and executing brand strategies for clients.
  • A deep, broad understanding of the range of strategic disciplines research, business strategy, brand strategy, comms planning, advertising effectiveness and creative briefing. You will know your strengths as well as where to fill knowledge and skill gaps through building strong teams.
  • Proven track record of delivering high-quality brand strategy work, including research, analysis, creative copywriting and strategic recommendations.
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and guide a team of brand strategists.
  • Strong commercial acumen, with the ability to drive business growth and contribute to the bottom line.
  • Ability to build and maintain relationships with clients, and grow accounts organically.
  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to use data to inform brand strategy decisions.
  • Entrepreneurial spirit, with a passion for driving new ideas and initiatives forward.
  • Understanding of the broader marketing and branding landscape, including trends and best practices in brand strategy and communications.
  • Be able to lead and advise on latest trends and create compelling thought leadership that amplifies Boldspace’s positioning and vision to take clients to the bold space through combining creativity and technology.
