Job Description

Wattbike is looking for a Head of D2C Sales to join the team.

Wattbike is used by the biggest sports teams and athletes across the Premier League, NFL, national rugby teams, Olympians and more, as well as thousands of everyday athletes at home and across Hamp;F facilities around the world.

They all have one common goal: to improve their health and fitness progression.

As our very first Head of D2C Sales, you will be a Senior marketing lead responsible for generating growth in existing and new D2C markets, aligning our segmentation and audience focus to the marketing plan and product roadmap to data-focused insights on our customers, and creating strategic plans for new and sustained revenue generation across D2C markets. You’ll operate as part of our Heads of Department team (HoDs) collaborating across the business, working closely with our digital and global marketing partners and teams.

Our HQ is based in West Bridgford in Nottingham and the role will be able to blend home and office working with c2 days in the office each week.

The Role

We are searching for a Head of D2C Sales role to drive D2C sales (domestic and international markets) through brand led, educational, performance marketing, eCommerce and, building our omni-channel approach for considered purchases. By its nature it is a hybrid position that bridges brand marketing and eCommerce and the demands of a leading consumer brand, strategically developing the go to market routes and driving performance marketing, ultimately being responsible for ecommerce and wider omni sales channels, driving sustainable revenue growth of the business. Working closely with the Leadership Team, the Head of D2C Sales will define and execute the strategies relating to performance marketing and sales KPIs, with responsibility for customer acquisition and revenue growth. The role reports directly to the CEO and with associated agencies across all sales channels, teamwork, with a hands on attitude.

Key Roles amp; Responsibilities

Strategy

  • Own the D2C sales number, and analysis, insights and reporting.
  • Create strategic routes to market and sales plan for the UK, USA amp; Australia to include, but not limited to, customer channels, education and digital marketing.
  • Strategic prioritisation of channels that drive the best consideration and conversion for our brand and products, aligned to our growth objectives.
  • Lead the execution of the sales plan across all priority and sub-channels.
  • Channel CPA strategy in line with growth and profitability targets.
  • Align business and customer objectives to develop and execute joint business plans that maximise our product offering, brand assets, leading sales growth and strengthening our customer relationships in order to exploit our cross-cycle demands between B2B and D2C sales channels to maximise sales growth.
  • Evolve and implement the D2C strategic pricing for both hardware and digital products.
  • Contribute to the formulation of the strategic business plan, forecasting, budget and annual company objectives; provide regular revenue and performance reporting/commentary for the ELT and Board of Directors as required; accountability for the sales and performance marketing Pamp;L.

Customer

  • Work closely with the Head of Customer Experience to help implement a world class CX strategy and single view of consumer and segmentation strategy.
  • Work with the Head of CX and Web manager to deliver a 360-degree view of the customer to facilitate a personalised, automated customer journey that uplifts sales performance (acquisition amp; conversion).
  • Work with the Head of CX to implement strategies to maximise LTVs.

Performance and Data

  • Prepare and share Category and Market insight that inform current and future plans.
  • Ownership of the performance marketing budget.
  • Ownership of the advertising and media budget, planning and spend.
  • Manage CPAs to deliver desired results in growth, awareness and profitability.

Internal Partnership

  • Work closely with the Head of Commercial Growth, eCommerce and marketing teams to create coordinated activity.
  • Work closely with the finance team on monthly monitoring of budgets (Volume, Revenue, and Trade Spend).
  • Partner with our operations team on the smooth running of Samp;OP (sales and operation planning) process and ensuring customers have a seamless experience.
