Warehouse Supervisor

We are currently seeking a Warehouse Supervisor to join a well-established, family-run SME based in Irvine, Scotland.

Your role will be to support the Operations Manager by overseeing and managing staff deployment and warehouse operations and ensuring that these are completed in an acceptable timescale and to an acceptable standard.

Key duties and responsibilities...

• To guide Warehouse Operatives with allocation of days work
• To ensure day to day to tasks are completed
• To ensure warehouse tasks and systems are implemented in line with company objectives
• Provide guidance and support as required to Warehouse and Delivery Operatives
• Oversee day to day carrier operations
• Oversee day to day van Operations
• Ensure company vehicles are secured at end of shift and premises are secured
• Report regularly to and implement the directions of the Operations Manager
• Ensure adequate staffing levels are maintained during periods of staffing levels are maintained during periods of staff annual leave

Requirements

The ideal candidate will have the following skills and attributes.

• Knowledge and experience of all aspects of warehouse work including, Health amp; Safety, forklift use and manual handling
• Forklift licence, first aid and manual handling
• Understanding and competence in computerised inventory systems
• Ability to work on own initiative
• Ability to integrate into a team
• Ability to coordinate with other departments
• Good communication skills with work colleagues and external partners
• Ability to lead and coordinate a team
• Reliable and trustworthy
• Approachable by team colleagues and management

Monday Friday: an 8 hour day between 7:30am and 5:00pm (specific times to be agreed)

Benefits

• Salary of 30,000 - 40,000
