Mechanical Contracts Manager
We are excited to be working with a well-known local and family run business to recruit their new Mechanical Contracts Manager. This is a unique opportunity to work within a multi-faceted company who acquire, build, operate and maintain their own projects.
Salary 50-55K per annum
Car Allowance up to 5k per annum
Tasks amp; Activities
The role will be reporting into the Mamp;E Operations Manager and working alongside the Project team, supporting them in managing the mechanical aspects of the project works, including but not limited to the below:
- Assist the Mamp;E Project Manager in the production of Risk Assessments and Method Statements for activities being undertaken by directly employed resources.
- Management and control of all site activities ensuring that all work is undertaken in a safe and timely manner in accordance with all Safety, Health and Environmental legislation, all relevant contractual timescales and all relevant contract specifications.
- Liaison with the client’s management and operational staff to ensure teams are efficient and working to a good standard.
- To work alongside the client and project manager to regularly review the progress of the works ensuring that adherence to the contract programmes dates are maintained. This will include the preparation and maintenance of look ahead programmes.
- Work with Project Manager on site to produce testing and commissioning programmes.
- Records of delays and changes, including the financial implications and feeding this into the Project Manager.
- Records in respect of Subcontractor progress and performance
- Assist Project Manager in the preparation of progress reports as required.
- Attendance at site progress meetings.
- Coordination and liaison with suppliers, specialist sub-contractors, in-house functions, site installation and construction teams.
- Quality control on all Mechanical aspects
- Assist and carry out QA sign offs.
Reviewing and approval of subcontractors site documentation including:
- Risk Assessments and Method Statements
- Installation programmes
- Test and Inspection documentation and
- Operation and Maintenance Documentation
Requirements
Essential Skills and Experience
• Excellent Communication skills
• CSCS Card at Site Manager level
• Valid CITB SMSTS certificate or SSSTS Certificate
• NVQ Level 3 Diploma in Domestic Plumbing and Heating or relevant qualification amp; experience
• Valid First Aid at Work certificate
• Current full UK driving licence
