Job Description
Reporting to the Financial Controller, the Systems Accountant will be responsible for the integration of the Cognos/TM1 system into the regular reporting and forecast production of the business. They will be required to manage the full data process from SAP to the Cognos/TM1 system ensuring accuracy of data and reports and being comfortable with manipulating significant levels of data.
Joining the business at a time of significant change in our sector, most notably with the growing influence of electric vehicles, key to the role will be an ability to handle and simplify data to provide significant insights and trends driving current and predicted future performance.
Duties amp; Responsibilities
- Integrate Cognos/TM1 into the financial reporting of the business.
- Manage the connection between SAP and Cognos/TM1 systems, ensuring accurate and complete data transfer between the two.
- Actively develop and check the integrity of a variety of financial reports.
- Develop an understanding of the data processing and hierarchical build in Cognos/TM1.
- Comfortably manipulate data to report to a variety of stakeholders throughout the business.
- Monitor the data within the Cognos/TM1 system on an ongoing basis ensuring data integrity and reconciling to other data systems.
- Resolve any errors occurring within the system in a timely manner.
- Look to identify and implement process improvements.
- Support the FC on ad-hoc work.
- Compliance with the DCC (Parent Company) Code of Conduct and other Group Policies.
- Participate in risk and compliance reviews to ensure group compliance standards and controls are effective and improved on.
- Any other duties as may be reasonably required.

Requirements
- You will be a high calibre part/full qualified ACA/CIMA/ACCA accountant.
- Experience of utilising Cognos/TM1, or a comparable system, is essential.
- Strong IT skills including logic / programming experience.
- Preferably with knowledge of SAP accounting system.
- Good communication skills.
