About you
You’ll be joining the Thunder hive as Senior Agile Delivery Manager. Reporting to the Senior Engineering Manager, you’ll be a part of a fast-growing business that is challenging the market and doing things differently.
You’ll be a strategic leader with a track record of impacting change, growth and improvement enabling our engineering teams’ ability to deliver in an Agile environment. You’ll have a proactive approach, harnessing technology with an increased velocity to achieve objectives with adherence to banking industry principles helping us on our journey to revolutionise the banking industry. A key role you’ll be supporting multiple product engineering teams, working in partnership with Engineering Managers and Product Owners, supporting and building our next generation banking and payment solutions. A major part of this role involves working closely with a multi-disciplinary management team outside of core engineering to ensure the teams have a smooth road to delivery.

You will be
- Supporting the engineering teams and product owners in roadmaps, planning and incremental improvements
- Ensuring teams have the support needed to achieve their delivery objectives
- Aligning to the wider business to manage any risks to the team's delivery
- Maintaining an eye for continuous improvement, working collaboratively across disciplines to effect positive change
- Championing the principles of iterative and incremental delivery
- Helping resolve conflict and interpersonal issues within the team and wider program
- Providing clarity around the appropriate use of other Agile tools and practices, particularly in relation to estimation and backlog management
- Facilitating retrospectives, planning and health checks
Requirements
What we are looking for
- Experience of delivery for product development through cross functional teams including Engineers, Product, Business Units, and Legal etc.
- Ability to evangelize the use of data to guide better decision making both individually and as tools for teams to utilise
- Self-starter with proven experience of setting up new teams and running team kick-off activities
- Ability to remain positive in the face of change, ambiguity, and conflicting priorities
- Solid grounding in Agile theory combined with ability to articulate without jargon and dogma to different audiences
- Comfortable working with challenging stakeholders and managing upwards
- Agile/Scrum expertise to support delivery with multiple high performing teams to make a positive impact
- A background as a Scrum Master or Agile Coach
