The Engineering Team
Quant's Engineering team is a cornerstone of the company. It is responsible for turning designs from our Product team into robust, scalable solutions that will delight our demanding large financial institution and enterprise customers. Working in small, close-knit, multidisciplined squads, our engineers are involved not just in software development but also in refining the details of our products and their features. Your Role
As a Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) at Quant, you are an expert in test architecture, tooling amp; automation, working to ensure and improve quality in our software amp; systems.
As a Test Engineer or Developer, you have evolved your skills to support teams in every way needed to build quality, with particular focus on shifting-left and automation-first approaches.
You are self-managed, proactive, humble in your expert knowledge, and have great communication and mentorship skills.
Your professional skills and experience form most of your qualifications, but it’s also your personality that makes the difference.
Key responsibilities
Working within one of our agile development squads to ensure the squad is self-sufficient in building quality by:
- Identifying the right approach and depth for test cases.
- Driving appropriate automation.
- Creating tools and libraries to optimise the developer testing experience.
- Working with other engineers to implement solutions that raise the bar.
Requirements
Required skills or experience
- Relevant experience, some within a regulated environment
- In-depth knowledge of git driven CI/CD pipelines
- Solid understanding of testing principles, testing types, and methodologies.
- Capable of picking the right tools and frameworks to meet the requirements and the defined acceptance criteria
- Platform: AWS, Kubernetes (EKS), Jenkins-X, Helm
- Databases: MongoDB and PostgresQL
- Languages/Frameworks: Java/Spring Boot, NodeJS (JavaScript amp; TypeScript) amp; VueJS
- Test tools: TestRail, Postman/Newman, Jacoco, Jest, CodeCov
